Curt Wells

Director, Regulatory Affairs

Curt Wells joined the Association in March 2014 as Manager of Regulatory Affairs. In this role, Curt will provide insight and guidance to the industry on a range of environmental and other regulatory issues.

Prior to joining the Association, Curt worked as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist for the environmental consulting firm StrataG. In addition, Curt served in a variety of environment, health and safety leadership roles over an 18-year period for both Alcoa and the Reynolds Metals Company. Curt’s many years of experience in the aluminum industry, coupled with his additional early work as a state regulator, provide a solid foundation for his effective advocacy of the industry in the Regulatory Affairs area.

Curt received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Environmental focus) from the University of Texas at Austin and also holds Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) certification from the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice.
