The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) made a unanimous preliminary determination today that unfairly-traded imports of certain aluminum foil from five countries are causing injury to U.S. producers.

U.S. Aluminum Industry Files Unfair Trade Cases Against Imports of Aluminum Foil from Five Countries

The Aluminum Association’s Foil Trade Enforcement Working Group today filed antidumping and countervailing duty petitions charging that unfairly traded imports of aluminum foil from five countries are causing material injury to the domestic industry. In April of 2018, the U.S. Department of Commerce published antidumping and countervailing duty orders on similar foil products from China. 

Aluminum Association Statement on Section 232 Tariff Removal on Canadian P1020

The Aluminum Association Supports EU Effort to Stop Unfair Trade of Chinese Flat-Rolled Aluminum

The Aluminum Association released the following statement by Tom Dobbins, president & CEO, in response to the European Commission launching an antidumping investigation into certain flat-rolled aluminum products from China. This follows the European Commission’s initiation of a similar case earlier this year investigating the possible dumping of aluminum extrusions.
